Tempura in Japanese cuisine “kaiseki”.
I know Tempura is one of the famous Japanese foods among foreign tourists.
Tenki is one of the traditional restaurant of Tempura and Kyoto cuisines in Nishijin area, near the golden pavilion and Kitanotenmangu shrine.
It’s on Senbon street, north of the interjection of Senbon Imadegawa in Kyoto.
Entering the small gate, the gorgeous Japanese garden and private rooms!
The traditional architectures in Kyoto often has the very small gate compared to the total area of the building, which is called “ the bed of the eel”. It’s because the tax had been imposed by the width of the gate about 400 years ago. You might be surprised to see the gorgeous inside.
Entering the gate on Senbon Street, there was a beautiful garden with a pond where gorgeous carps are swimming.
We can forget the daily life walking through the garden as same as the traditional tea ceremony.
It is easier to make reservation compared to the very famous restaurants in Gion which are often impossible to book even a month in advance.
The beautiful Japanese lunch with family
The appetizer.
Sake served here is the high quality one “Daiginjo” made by Kinshimasamune in Kyoto.
I liked it very much.
Japanese soup.
Tempura!
It’s near Kinkakuji (Golden pavilion and Kitanotenmangu shrine).
